Beautician (Nutrition & Wellness Specialist) — Allsops, Nairobi
Role Overview
This position blends one-on-one nutrition guidance with personal care product expertise inside a wellness-focused setting. Day to day, you will sit with clients, understand their eating habits and health goals, then shape practical food and supplement recommendations they can actually follow. Your work directly affects how customers view the employer’s credibility — when advice feels personalised and safe, people return, and the business builds a reputation for trustworthy wellness support rather than just selling products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct private consultations to map out each client’s current diet, health objectives, lifestyle constraints, and any food sensitivities or medical considerations.
- Design customised nutrition and lifestyle plans based on established dietary science, making sure recommendations are realistic for the client’s daily routine.
- Break down complex nutrition topics — nutrient roles, food groups, wellness practices — into clear, everyday language that clients can act on.
- Stay fluent in the organisation’s range of vitamins, minerals, functional foods, supplements, and personal care formulations, including their intended uses and safety profiles.
- Recommend supplements and wellness products only when they align with a client’s verified needs, watching for possible interactions or contraindications.
- Follow up with clients at agreed intervals to check progress, adjust plans, and resolve any questions that come up along the way.
- Keep accurate, confidential records of consultations, recommendations, and client outcomes, following all health, safety, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with sales and wellness colleagues to uphold service quality, share product knowledge, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised institution.
- Minimum of 2 years’ active experience in nutrition counselling, retail health, dietary supplements, or a wellness-related role.
- Strong command of vitamins, minerals, dietary supplements, and therapeutic nutrition.
- Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills, with the ability to simplify complex health information.
- High integrity and meticulous attention to detail when managing confidential health records.
- Approachable, empathetic, customer-centric personality with solid problem-solving abilities.
- Availability for full-time, on-site work in Allsops, Nairobi.
