- Develop new course materials and update existing programme modules to reflect advances in the field and student feedback.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues to review curricula, align learning objectives, and integrate interdisciplinary perspectives.
- Conduct independent or team-based research in community health, prepare grant proposals, and secure funding for projects.
- Present findings at conferences, symposia, or workshops and publish results in peer-reviewed journals or other scholarly outlets.
- Provide academic advising and career mentorship to students, supporting their professional growth and research interests.
- Engage in consultancy work that applies community health expertise to real-world challenges, enhancing the department’s external profile.
- Participate in departmental committees, accreditation processes, and other duties assigned by the Head of Department to support institutional goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Community Health (or a closely related field) from an accredited university.
- At least three years of relevant work experience after completing the Master’s degree, preferably in teaching, research, or community health practice.
- Demonstrated potential to deliver high-quality university-level instruction and to develop engaging learning environments.
- Evidence of research capability, such as publications, conference presentations, or completed research projects.
- Strong commitment to student mentorship and to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively on curriculum design and to adapt teaching methods to diverse learner needs.
