Role Overview
This is a field-based position focused on strengthening the retail distribution network for SIM cards and mobile money services. You will be the primary point of contact for Super SIM Outlets (SSOs) and TKash agents, visiting them regularly to boost sales, ensure compliance, and improve the customer experience at the point of purchase. By keeping agents stocked, trained, and motivated, you directly contribute to the company's revenue and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Scout and recruit new agents and SSOs, prioritising mobile money kiosks and busy retail shops that can drive high transaction volumes.
- Carry out scheduled visits to your assigned SSOs and agents using agreed route plans, maintaining consistent call rates and strong working relationships.
- Supply outlets with all required business tools and train SSOs and TKash agents on transaction processes, ensuring they can operate independently and accurately.
- Conduct AML training for agents and KYC process training for SSOs, reinforcing compliance with SIM registration (SIMREG) rules.
- Monitor float and stock levels, enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents, and make sure SSOs always have enough SIMs for new registrations and activations.
- Implement merchandising guidelines by providing and arranging point-of-sale materials to maximise visibility and attract walk-in customers.
- Analyse channel performance data to spot trends, address underperformance, and share insights that help improve SIM sales and float turnover.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a sales and distribution role, ideally within an FMCG or telecommunications environment.
- Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to understand and respond to outlet needs.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills to persuade agents and retailers to adopt best practices.
- Proven networking and partnership-building abilities to expand and maintain a productive agent network.
- Analytical thinking skills to interpret sales and float data and make informed decisions.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory and spend most of the workday in the field.
