Key Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate materials.
- Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and into required spaces.
- Install floor and wall tiles according to project specifications.
- Apply grout and finish tiled surfaces neatly and professionally.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tile installation, preferably in commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements.
- Skilled in tile cutting, laying, grouting, and finishing.
- Good understanding of different tile types and installation techniques.
- Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- KCSE Certificate or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in tiling is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in tile installation.
