La Vita is looking for an experienced Food Cost Controller to manage food cost operations, inventory controls, purchasing processes, and profitability across catering activities in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of F&B cost management and the ability to analyze financial data to improve operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will work closely with kitchen and operations teams to control expenses, maintain accurate inventory records, optimize purchasing activities, and support cost-saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control food and beverage costs while analyzing cost variances.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports, inventory reports, and financial analysis.
• Manage stock receiving, storage, issuing, FIFO/FEFO procedures, and inventory reconciliation.
• Conduct regular and surprise stock counts while investigating wastage, losses, and discrepancies.
• Review purchase requisitions, LPOs, supplier pricing, and purchasing activities.
• Perform recipe costing, yield tests, portion control analysis, and menu costing.
• Collaborate with kitchen and operations teams to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records across POS, inventory, and ERP systems.
• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure proper cost-control procedures are followed.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in F&B Cost Control.
• Catering or large-scale F&B industry experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, and stock reconciliation.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
• UAE/Dubai catering experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Food cost analysis and profitability management
• Inventory control, stock auditing, and reconciliation
• Menu costing, purchasing controls, and ERP/POS systems
