You will be responsible for identifying hardware failures at the component level—specifically focusing on charging circuits, ports, and PCBs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on fixer who combines analytical troubleshooting with the manual dexterity required for delicate soldering and track repairs.

Responsibilities

Advanced Diagnostics & Repair

  • Perform component-level repairs, including the identification and replacement of faulty capacitors, resistors, and integrated circuits.

  • Troubleshoot charging circuits and connectivity ports to restore full device functionality.

  • Conduct rigorous functional testing on all repaired units to ensure they meet performance standards before being released.

Soldering & PCB Maintenance

  • Execute precision soldering and desoldering of sensitive electronic components.

  • Perform basic and advanced PCB work, including track repairs and delicate component swaps.

  • Adhere to strict Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions to prevent damage to sensitive hardware during the repair process.

  • Maintain and calibrate repair tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy in every task.

Documentation & Inventory Control

  • Maintain detailed digital and manual records of all repairs, including parts used and labor time.

  • Monitor the usage of spare parts and proactively recommend inventory replenishment to management.

  • Identify and report recurring technical faults to support long-term product improvements.

  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with technical safety standards.

Qualification & Requirements

Professional Background

  • Certification: Training or certification in Electronics or a related technical field is a significant advantage.

  • Experience: Proven experience in electronics repair, specifically with hands-on PCB and component-level work.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert skill in soldering and the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other diagnostic hardware.

Key Skills

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of electronic failure.

  • Precision: High attention to detail and a steady hand for delicate hardware manipulation.

  • Autonomy: Ability to manage a steady flow of repair tasks independently while meeting turnaround deadlines.

  • Proactive Attitude: A solution-oriented mindset with a focus on quality assurance and safety.

Perks & Benefits

  • Stable Income: A monthly salary of Kshs. 25,000.

  • Prime Location: Work in a well-accessible area on Ngong Road.

  • Skill Development: Enhance your technical expertise in a specialized electronics repair environment.
