Role Overview
We are looking for a technically skilled Technician to join our team on Ngong Road. This position is centered on the precision repair and maintenance of electronic units. You will be responsible for identifying hardware failures at the component level—specifically focusing on charging circuits, ports, and PCBs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on fixer who combines analytical troubleshooting with the manual dexterity required for delicate soldering and track repairs.
Responsibilities
Advanced Diagnostics & Repair

Inspect and diagnose complex faults in electronic units using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.

Perform component-level repairs, including the identification and replacement of faulty capacitors, resistors, and integrated circuits.

Troubleshoot charging circuits and connectivity ports to restore full device functionality.

Conduct rigorous functional testing on all repaired units to ensure they meet performance standards before being released.
Soldering & PCB Maintenance

Execute precision soldering and desoldering of sensitive electronic components.

Perform basic and advanced PCB work, including track repairs and delicate component swaps.

Adhere to strict Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions to prevent damage to sensitive hardware during the repair process.

Maintain and calibrate repair tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy in every task.
Documentation & Inventory Control

Maintain detailed digital and manual records of all repairs, including parts used and labor time.

Monitor the usage of spare parts and proactively recommend inventory replenishment to management.

Identify and report recurring technical faults to support long-term product improvements.

Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with technical safety standards.
Qualification & Requirements
Professional Background

Certification: Training or certification in Electronics or a related technical field is a significant advantage.

Experience: Proven experience in electronics repair, specifically with hands-on PCB and component-level work.

Technical Proficiency: Expert skill in soldering and the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other diagnostic hardware.
