The Tax Supervisor will lead client tax engagements, ensuring strict adherence to statutory tax laws, managing complex tax audits and revenue authority investigations, providing technical advisory services, and facilitating specialized tax training. Acting as a technical authority, the incumbent will supervise junior tax staff and guide client organizations through dynamic tax compliance landscapes.
Direct end-to-end tax compliance processes for clients, ensuring accurate and timely submission of corporate tax, VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, and other statutory filings.
Deliver technical tax advisory services, advising corporate clients on tax-efficient structuring, legislative updates, and risk mitigation strategies.
Conduct specialized tax training and capacity-building workshops for internal staff and client finance teams.
Lead corporate tax audits, health checks, and revenue authority (KRA) investigations on behalf of clients.
Prepare comprehensive technical defenses, audit responses, and dispute reconciliation documentation.
Represent client interests during administrative engagements, tax tribunals, and statutory review proceedings.
Supervise, review, and mentor junior tax associates, upholding quality assurance standards across all client deliverables.
Manage client relationships, act as the primary liaison for complex tax assignments, and ensure high client retention rates.
Identify operational risk areas across client tax profiles and implement corrective compliance frameworks.
Professional Certification: Full CPA(K) qualification is mandatory.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related business field.
Specialized Training: Postgraduate diploma or advanced certification in Taxation.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in taxation, with at least 3 years served in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Age Requirement: Applicants must be 35 years of age and above.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of Kenyan tax legislation, statutory compliance schedules, and KRA iTax/eTIMS frameworks.
Audit Expertise: Proven track record in handling tax dispute resolutions, audit defenses, and tax health checks.
Leadership & Communication: Strong supervisory capacity, client management acumen, and professional presentation skills.
Station: Nairobi, Kenya
Working Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
