Working under the supervision of the Branch Manager, Product Champions act as key product specialists dedicated to driving market penetration, lead generation, sales activations, and customer onboarding for specific financial offerings. The position focuses on building robust sales pipelines, authenticating loan applications, maintaining stakeholder networks, and converting prospects into active credit portfolios.
Formulate and execute monthly sales plans to hit product penetration, lead generation, and disbursement targets.
Source new clients through direct cold-calling, referrals, market activations, industry networks, and company-generated leads.
Conduct regular market visits and field activations to increase awareness for assigned specialized financial products.
Maintain a structured sales pipeline tracking prospective leads, submitted applications, credit approvals, and final loan disbursements.
Advise prospective borrowers on product structures, interest rates, fee schedules, eligibility requirements, and repayment schedules.
Walk clients through loan application paperwork, document verification, and submission steps.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the institution's product catalog.
Perform preliminary credit and risk assessments on prospective applicants.
Authenticate original KYC documentation, financial statements, and supporting collateral against provided photocopies.
Package complete loan files and hand them over to Relationship Officers or Credit Managers for formal appraisal.
Liaise with internal credit teams to resolve document gaps, address customer queries, and accelerate approval timelines.
Submit detailed weekly sales pipeline updates and monthly product performance reports to the Branch Manager.
Adhere strictly to credit governance rules, Anti-Money Laundering (AML/CFT) frameworks, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) standards.
Conduct post-disbursement check-ins with clients to ensure repayment discipline and cultivate repeat business.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Banking, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of active sales experience within banking, microfinance, or non-bank financial services.
Product Expertise: Direct experience selling niche financial solutions—specifically Import Duty Financing, Real Estate lending (e.g., Makao Poa), or Private School & Hospital financing products.
Business Acquisition: Proven history of closing high-value sales, managing partner networks, and converting leads into disbursed loans.
Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication capabilities.
Compliance & Attention to Detail: Precise documentation vetting skills and adherence to financial compliance policies.
Station: Branch offices along Thika Road, Nairobi
Nature: Full-Time (Field-based sales and on-site office coordination)
