- Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Science, Geo-Spatial Engineering, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Control and Instrumentation, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines related to space science and astronomy programmes;
- Conducting initial analysis of user needs and contributing to reports and proposals for programme design;
- Coordinating stakeholder engagement efforts and promoting space science and astronomy;
- Drafting frameworks for infrastructure planning, data dissemination, or strategic partnerships;
- Collecting, organizing, and reviewing preliminary technical content for research papers and policy proposals; and
- Monitoring activities within space science and astronomy programmes and assisting in preparing periodic progress reports.
