Role Overview
This internship places a recent graduate inside a working aviation team, where the day-to-day focus is on learning how a live operation actually runs while contributing real support to the department that matches your academic background. You will take on a rotating mix of research, documentation, coordination and reporting tasks under the guidance of experienced colleagues, building practical judgement that cannot be taught in a classroom. The role matters because it gives the team extra capacity on ongoing work while developing the next generation of aviation professionals from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily workload of your assigned department, picking up routine tasks and seeing them through to completion under supervision.
- Gather, verify and organise data and records, then summarise findings in clear written form for review by senior colleagues.
- Carry out background research on industry practices, regulations or operational questions and prepare short briefs or notes from what you find.
- Help draft and format internal documents such as reports, correspondence, presentations and meeting materials.
- Attend team and cross-departmental meetings, capture accurate notes and follow up on action points assigned to you.
- Assist with filing, record maintenance and the general administrative flow of the office so that information stays accurate and easy to retrieve.
- Observe and apply safety, quality and compliance procedures in everything you handle, flagging concerns to your supervisor rather than working around them.
- Complete a structured learning assignment or end-of-placement report that reflects what you contributed and what you learned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A university degree awarded within the last four years.
- The degree must be in a discipline relevant to the internship area you are applying for.
- Additional professional qualifications or certifications in a related field are an added advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain your work clearly to different audiences.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, including listening, sharing credit and supporting colleagues when deadlines tighten.
- Fast, curious learner who absorbs new systems, terminology and processes quickly and applies them without repeated instruction.
- Professional conduct in an office environment: punctuality, reliability, discretion with sensitive information and respect for colleagues.
- Demonstrated interest in the aviation industry — through studies, projects, memberships or prior exposure — is an advantage.
