Role Overview
You will support the technical and regulatory backbone of national space operations, working alongside engineers and policy specialists to prepare for safe launch and re-entry activities. Day to day, you will translate complex technical inputs into clear guidelines, reports, and compliance documents that shape how satellites and ground systems are built, tested, and operated. Your work directly enables informed decision-making for mission control, infrastructure planning, and revenue-generating space services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine draft regulations, operational guidelines, and procedural frameworks for launch and re-entry missions.
- Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders, then turn findings into technical summaries, briefings, and actionable recommendations.
- Compile and structure technical documentation for mission control, satellite manufacturing, and launch support functions to keep project records audit-ready.
- Prepare reports and funding proposals that identify opportunities for generating revenue from space operations services.
- Assess facility and equipment needs for satellite assembly, integration, and testing, including proposed layouts and capability gaps.
- Monitor tracking and telemetry systems during routine operations, escalate anomalies, and assist in resolving minor technical faults under limited supervision.
- Document launch approval workflows and compliance correspondence with external regulatory agencies, ensuring case files are complete and traceable.
- Support applied research and innovation projects in space operations and systems engineering by collecting, validating, and summarizing technical data.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Science, Geo-Spatial Engineering, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Control and Instrumentation, or a related recognized qualification.
- Solid working proficiency in standard computer applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and data presentation tools.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate work results, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively within a technical team.
- Strong analytical and writing skills, with the capacity to turn technical information into structured reports and regulatory documents.
- Familiarity with space operations concepts, satellite systems, or ground infrastructure is an advantage.
