Description:
Desert Leisure Swimming Pools is currently expanding its operations and is seeking to appoint a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team in the UAE. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in construction projects, particularly in cost planning, contract administration, and overall commercial management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of projects from the initial tender stage through to final account settlement. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project costs from pre-contract tender evaluation through to final account completion
- Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and budget forecasts
- Oversee contract administration processes and ensure compliance with contractual terms
- Monitor project expenditures and control variations effectively
- Evaluate and negotiate variations, claims, and change orders
- Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular commercial reports
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients on commercial matters
- Ensure value engineering opportunities are identified and implemented where possible
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of construction project lifecycles and demonstrate confidence in handling budgets, financial forecasting, and contractual documentation with precision and professionalism.
