Senior Accountant

Role Overview

MBK Security Services LLC is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage core finance activities for its Abu Dhabi operation. You will maintain reliable accounts, oversee payables and receivables, and produce reporting that helps managers monitor cash flow, costs, and business performance. Familiarity with the financial demands of security, manpower, or facilities management operations will be valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and review day-to-day transactions, journal entries, and general ledger activity.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to keep financial records accurate.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, customer billing, collections, and overdue balances.
• Complete monthly close procedures and prepare financial and management reports.
• Monitor budgets, operating expenses, cash flow, and manpower-related costs, highlighting variances and opportunities for cost control.
• Support payroll accounting and the recording of employee expenses.
• Work with Procurement, Human Resources, Operations, and other teams to resolve finance queries and coordinate financial processes.
• Maintain supporting documentation and assist with audits, VAT filings, and other compliance requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Senior-level experience in accounting, ideally in a Senior Accountant or comparable role; a specific number of years was not provided.
• Experience with a security services business is strongly preferred; manpower or facilities management experience is also relevant.
• Sound knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT requirements, with UAE work experience preferred.
• Experience using accounting or ERP software; Odoo familiarity is an advantage.
• Strong Excel capability and experience preparing financial reports, budgets, and cash-flow information.
• Good analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to investigate issues, meet deadlines, work independently, and handle confidential financial data responsibly.
