About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counsellor to support the emotional and psychological well-being of students. This role is essential in fostering a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling to students facing personal, social, or academic challenges
- Develop and implement programs to promote mental health, resilience, and positive coping strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to support student development
- Conduct assessments and maintain confidential records in accordance with school policies
- Facilitate referrals to external specialists when necessary
- Promote a culture of empathy, inclusion, and emotional intelligence within the school community
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Psychology or Counselling (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Proven experience in counselling, preferably in a school setting
- Female, aged 35 years and above
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of empathy and emotional intelligence
- Genuine passion for working with students and supporting their growth
