Electrical Estimator

ArchKey Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator for a fully remote position supporting preconstruction and project management teams. The ideal candidate will assist with preparing estimates, reviewing bids, analyzing project costs, and supporting electrical construction projects from the preconstruction phase.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating estimate take-offs, reviewing project documents, evaluating costs, and preparing accurate proposals. This position requires strong analytical skills, electrical construction knowledge, and the ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, bid reviews, and cost analyses for electrical construction projects.

• Review bidding documents and coordinate with project managers and chief estimators to determine expenses, labor rates, and project costs.

• Utilize estimating software to develop project estimates.

• Plan and monitor estimating activities to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Review electrical contracts, drawings, plans, and specifications.

• Conduct job site surveys when required to understand project scope and cost planning.

• Prepare professional and complete estimate documents, proposals, and reports.

• Support RFP responses, bid submissions, and interview preparation.

• Ensure estimates meet customer and company quality standards.

• Collaborate with purchasing teams to reduce material procurement risks.

• Partner with design teams on design-build and design-assist projects.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members when needed.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree or equivalent experience in construction management or a related field.

• Minimum 1 year of electrical construction experience in estimating, coding requirements, and design/build or plan/spec estimating.

• Strong understanding of electrical construction processes and estimating practices.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications.

• Extensive knowledge of electrical codes.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and report preparation skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.

• Occasional travel may be required.
