We are looking for a results-driven Sales Representative to manage and grow business within a designated area. In this role, you will execute the sales plan, acquire and manage customers, drive value through consultative selling, and resolve issues efficiently. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure administrative processes run smoothly and provide market insights to support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Planning and Execution
- Co-develop and execute the sales plan for the assigned area in accordance with set objectives and targets.
- Ensure the sales plan is realized and sales targets are achieved.
Customer Acquisition
- Use knowledge of the market and market intelligence to proactively acquire new customers through direct visits, phone outreach, referrals, and other means, within delegated authority.
- Retain and grow the customer base to meet expectations and achieve sales targets.
Customer Management
- Build trust with new and existing customers by identifying their needs and providing advice and effective solutions.
- Improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, driving additional revenue and profitability.
- Assess progress within accounts and make commercial decisions on committing future resources to develop opportunities.
Value Selling
- Ask questions that uncover implicit needs and develop those needs through further investigation.
- Build value for the customer by uncovering explicit needs and demonstrating how the company’s products and services match those needs using benefit statements.
Issue Resolution
- Receive, follow up, and resolve (or ensure resolution of) customer complaints and queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Services colleagues to satisfy customer expectations and ensure retention.
Tools and Administration
- Coordinate, execute, maintain, and improve various administrative sales processes and systems, in line with applicable procedures.
- Ensure efficient and effective sales administration compliant with policies and regulations.
- Record outcomes of sales calls and plan future actions to move the sale toward a successful conclusion, including additional needs identification.
Management Information
- Provide insights to management on request or own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments in your sales area or expertise, following reporting guidelines.
- Ensure all information is appropriately stored and updated so that management and stakeholders can make timely decisions and adjust sales strategy.
Internal Networking and Product Knowledge
- Build and maintain product and technical knowledge in relevant product categories by attending local and global technical trainings.
- Based on input from Marketing and Pricing, prepare and quote customers to advise them appropriately and conclude sales.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a similar industry or market.
- Strong knowledge of the assigned market and customer landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and make commercial decisions within delegated authority.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales administration tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning and development of product and technical expertise.
