Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of sales and logistics, ensuring that every customer order moves from quotation to delivery without friction. You will own the end-to-end sales coordination process — from hunting new accounts and nurturing existing relationships to checking that paperwork, stock availability, and transport schedules align so clients receive exactly what they ordered, on time. Your daily reporting and market insight will directly shape how the General Manager plans revenue growth and responds to competitors, making you a key operational link between the sales floor and upper management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on monthly revenue and growth targets by proactively identifying new business opportunities, converting leads into orders, and expanding value from current accounts.
- Prepare daily sales activity summaries for the General Manager covering both pre-sales pipeline movement and post-sales outcomes, plus periodic competitive landscape reports that inform strategic decisions.
- Own the full order life cycle for assigned clients: raising invoices, chasing collections, coordinating delivery schedules, and confirming that goods arrive with correct supporting documentation.
- Conduct structured market visits to scout new prospects and maintain visibility at customer sites, while following up decisively on leads passed down by the Director.
- Act as the first point of contact for customer complaints and feedback, resolving issues quickly and feeding recurring problems back into process improvement discussions.
- Keep logistics and dispatch teams aligned with sales commitments by sharing accurate order details, priority flags, and delivery deadlines.
- Attend sales meetings and skill-building sessions, contributing practical ideas to refine pricing tactics, service offerings, and execution plans.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in logistics or transport management (e.g., CILT, FIATA, or equivalent) is required.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transport coordination, dispatch operations, or sales coordination — with clear preference for candidates who have worked in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage order processing, sales follow-ups, and delivery documentation without losing accuracy under pressure.
- Working proficiency in ERP platforms such as SAP or Navision, along with solid MS Office skills across Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Solid command of delivery documentation including LPOS, invoices, delivery notes, and GRNs, with a strong eye for data entry accuracy and reconciliation.
