Role Overview
You will be the driving force behind our office stationery sales across the corporate sector, building lasting relationships with banks, manufacturers, NGOs, SACCOS, and other large organisations. Your focus will be on expanding account revenue, converting tenders and quotations into confirmed orders, and ensuring our products become the preferred choice for everyday office needs. By consistently exceeding sales targets and delivering a seamless client experience, you will directly contribute to the company’s growth and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, acquire, and nurture corporate accounts to build a robust and loyal client base within the stationery segment.
- Manage the full tender and quotation cycle, from initial enquiry to submission and follow-up, while aligning with company credit and delivery policies.
- Proactively research market opportunities, generate qualified leads, and close deals on a regular basis.
- Forecast corporate demand and retail development trends to guide inventory planning and sales strategy.
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as defined by your KPIs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to design and execute marketing and business development initiatives that support the company’s growth objectives.
- Resolve customer complaints, after-sales issues, and product repairs promptly to maintain high satisfaction and retention.
- Represent the company at corporate meetings and industry events when required, and present clear, data-backed sales reports during monthly reviews.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience within the corporate sector, ideally in the stationery or office supplies category.
- Proven ability in prospecting, lead generation, and negotiation, with a track record of closing deals and building long-term client relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of corporate purchasing behaviour, tender processes, and relationship management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to negotiate at senior levels.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, supported by good IT and data analysis skills.
- Self-directed and able to work collaboratively across functions with minimal supervision.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in all client and internal interactions.
