Sales Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and results-driven Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, delivering excellent customer service while driving sales through effective product knowledge and upselling. You will maintain a clean, organized shopping environment and ensure accurate handling of transactions and stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers politely and professionally at all times.
- Provide accurate product information and support customers in their purchasing decisions.
- Promote, upsell, and cross-sell products to achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash, card, and mobile payment systems.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and attractive product displays.
- Safeguard stock, prevent losses, and ensure proper stock handling procedures are followed.
- Operate POS systems and ensure proper cash handling and daily banking tasks are completed.
- Maintain accurate sales records and prepare required reports.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety, and security regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in retail sales.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and accountability in handling cash and stock.
- Friendly, professional, and presentable personality.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
