Reporting To: Territory Sales Manager

Gross Salary Structure: Kshs. 50,000 – 80,000

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Position Purpose

We are seeking a high-energy, technically inclined Sales Agent to accelerate the market distribution of our clean energy and power backup solutions. Your primary focus will be to identify, educate, and convert both residential (B2C) and commercial (B2B) prospects, presenting our range of solar panels, hybrid inverters, lithium batteries, and emergency power tanks. This role bridges direct field pipeline management with custom energy consulting; you will visit prospective client sites to assess load demands, design fitting systems alongside our engineering team, and close high-value clean energy contracts. The ideal candidate is an analytical, relationship-driven negotiator who is passionate about sustainability and possesses a strong track record of hitting challenging sales quotas.

Key Responsibilities

Territory Expansion & Customer Prospecting

  • Proactively seek out and qualify fresh commercial, industrial, and residential client leads within the region.
  • Cultivate a robust B2B pipeline by pitching the direct return on investment (ROI) and cost-saving advantages of custom solar setups.
  • Host professional on-site energy audits to evaluate client electrical load requirements and physical layout capacities.
  • Maintain a structured, active customer database, logging all client interactions, follow-ups, and quotation changes.

Account Care & Technical Alignment

  • Collaborate closely with our systems engineers to ensure final custom designs perfectly match client operational needs.
  • Draft and deliver persuasive technical sales presentations and transparent price proposals to business owners and corporate procurement boards.
  • Deliver dedicated after-sales care, checking in on installation progress and proactively addressing operational questions.
  • Monitor competitor pricing models, product rollouts, and emerging market demands to feed real-time insights back to management.

Pipeline Performance & Reporting

  • Meet or exceed all monthly and quarterly customer acquisition and revenue volume metrics.
  • Prepare clear weekly and monthly performance updates detailing active opportunities, closed contracts, and customer trends.
  • Participate in weekly strategy reviews to identify market bottlenecks and brainstorm targeted marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

Education

Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or a related commercial field.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of progressive, hands-on sales experience specifically dealing with solar panels, power inverters, energy storage batteries, or backup power solutions.

Commercial Expertise

Solid understanding of both high-volume consumer retail channels and long-cycle corporate B2B procurement steps.

Travel Readiness

Highly flexible and willing to travel regularly within the target territory for client assessments and project inspections.
