Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a field-based clinical or public health research study leading to a thesis defense
  • Literature review
  • Develop proposals 
  • Follow up for compliance approvals
  • Initiate and lead research activities
  • Attend BRIDGE network workshops and training
  • Analyze and interpret scientific problems and leverage a large amount of data
  • Synthesis and communicate the findings to a variety of audiences 
  • Supervise and mentor MSc students at AKU

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in public health or any other related field.  
  • Strong data and statistical background.  
  • Possess a Quantitative Research background
  • Strong written and oral communication 
  • More than four (4) publications in public health or related field

Relevant Experience

  • Strong scientific writing skills. 
  • Working knowledge of quantitative data analysis using statistical software.
  • Working in a health-related research field

Personal Characteristics and Behaviour

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills 
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
