Role Overview
This role sits at the heart of our lending operation, where you will build and nurture a portfolio of clients while ensuring that every disbursed loan is repaid on schedule. Your daily work involves actively bringing in new borrowers, maintaining strong relationships with existing ones, and stepping in to resolve payment difficulties before they become defaults. Because your efforts directly influence both revenue growth and portfolio health, your ability to balance sales drive with disciplined follow-through is essential to the team’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, attract, and sign up new loan clients, while implementing retention strategies that keep existing borrowers engaged and loyal to our services.
- Work toward clearly defined monthly disbursement targets, ensuring that approved loans are processed and released efficiently without compromising quality.
- Manage collection activities across your assigned portfolio, monitoring due dates, sending reminders, and taking prompt action on overdue accounts to meet collection targets.
- Deliver courteous, professional, and responsive customer service at every touchpoint, from initial inquiries through post-disbursement support, to maintain a positive client experience.
- Assess each client’s financial situation and lending needs, recommending suitable loan products and explaining terms clearly so clients make informed decisions.
- Negotiate repayment plans and settlements with clients experiencing financial hardship, balancing empathy with firmness to recover outstanding amounts while preserving the relationship.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan disbursements, and collection follow-ups, and report progress against targets to management on a regular basis.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or another business-related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a loan officer, collection officer, or relationship officer capacity, with a proven ability to manage client accounts and meet repayment goals.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to interact professionally with clients from various backgrounds.
- Solid customer service orientation, demonstrated through a patient, helpful, and solution-focused approach to client concerns.
- Sound negotiation skills, enabling you to secure repayment commitments from delinquent borrowers while maintaining a constructive relationship.
