Role Overview
As a Regional Sales Agent, you will be the face of Kimisitu DT Sacco in your assigned region, working on the ground to bring in new members and keep existing ones actively engaged with the Sacco's savings and credit products. Day to day, this means hunting for prospects, running activation drives, walking new members through onboarding and KYC checks, and making sure the accounts you open are funded and genuinely active rather than dormant. Your work directly feeds the Sacco's growth strategy in Nakuru, Kisumu, and Mombasa, so your ability to build trust with members and turn conversations into committed, transacting customers is central to the organisation's expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Source new business by identifying prospects and following up systematically on leads and member referrals within your assigned region.
- Plan and run sales activation drives and outreach activities that put the Sacco's products in front of target audiences.
- Recruit new members while applying due diligence and Know Your Customer requirements to every application.
- Follow through after sign-up to ensure newly recruited accounts are fully funded and actively transacting.
- Meet agreed recruitment, retention, and product uptake targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Educate members and prospective members on savings plans, loan facilities, and other services, and cross-sell additional products where they fit.
- Build and maintain long-term member relationships that sustain demand across the Sacco's full product portfolio.
- Deliver presentations to prospective customers and submit periodic sales reports that your supervisor uses to track performance and refine growth strategy.
- Participate in sales and marketing events, and take on other official duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Co-operative Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or an equivalent qualification.
- Prior sales and marketing experience within a financial institution is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to present to groups and individuals.
- Demonstrated integrity and the ability to handle member information responsibly.
- Capacity to work independently in the field while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Self-driven and results-oriented approach to hitting targets.
