Role Overview
You’ll be the person who keeps quality systems running smoothly day to day—writing and updating procedures, checking that records stand up to scrutiny, and helping teams stay aligned with standards. This nine-month fixed-term role sits at the centre of operations, giving you exposure to audits, service-level monitoring, and change control while supporting a mission-driven organisation as it scales quickly. It’s a practical, hands-on position for someone ready to deepen their quality management skills across documentation, data, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and other quality documents so teams always have clear, current guidance to follow.
- Support day-to-day quality control and inspection activities, checking outputs against specifications and flagging non-conformities to senior colleagues.
- Assist in formal audits and reviews by gathering evidence, examining records, and confirming that appropriate testing and quality checks actually took place.
- Track service delivery performance metrics, helping stakeholders anticipate potential breaches of service level agreements and plan for disruptions before they escalate.
- Process change requests using established change control procedures, logging low-risk changes and reporting status to relevant teams.
- Capture and classify knowledge from your specialism, seeking expert input where needed to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions, contributing to method evaluations and offering feedback to improve quality practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, business administration, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2–4 years in quality management, quality assurance, or a process/documentation-focused role.
- Solid understanding of quality management principles, including how to apply standards and procedures to a team or project.
- Proven ability to write clear, detailed work instructions, SOPs, and quality reports that others can follow without ambiguity.
- Comfort with data: gathering, organising, cleaning, and supporting basic analysis projects to identify issues or trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills—able to break down complex issues, weigh risks, and propose practical solutions independently.
- Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including writing structured reports and presenting to small or medium-sized groups.
- Ability to plan and coordinate small projects, facilitate planning sessions, and contribute to risk and contingency planning.
- Collaborative mindset with a track record of engaging team members, supporting shared goals, and initiating small improvement efforts.
- Nice to have: experience developing training materials for operational teams, familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar frameworks, or exposure to change control and knowledge management systems.
