Role Overview
In this food manufacturing quality assurance role, you will check that food safety and quality controls are followed from raw-material receiving through production, storage and dispatch. Your monitoring, records and follow-up on issues will help protect product integrity, support regulatory compliance and give the Quality Assurance Manager reliable information for review.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor quality and food safety practices across receiving, processing, storage and dispatch, and follow up on gaps.
- Check, validate and verify on-line quality controls and laboratory records, including QAPs, CCPs, O-PRPs, PRPs and GMP checks.
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation that supports product traceability, compliance and timely reporting of process or product deviations.
- Prepare reports on product quality, process performance and equipment for the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Investigate nonconforming products and customer complaints, contributing to root-cause analysis and timely corrective actions.
- Carry out internal audits and monitor hygiene and GMP practices, including completion of sanitation schedules.
- Maintain QA programmes and records in line with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver food safety and quality training to help staff apply required practices consistently.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- One to two years of relevant experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP and quality management systems.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communication, careful attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with a team.
