QC Officer – Tissue Manufacturing

Role Overview

In this quality control role, you’ll check materials and tissue products at each stage of manufacture, from incoming raw materials to finished rolls. Your testing and close coordination with production will help catch defects early, maintain product consistency, and reduce avoidable waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and test incoming materials, production samples, and finished tissue products against established quality criteria.
• Take routine samples, carry out required checks, and record results clearly and accurately.
• Monitor manufacturing activity for adherence to quality procedures and product specifications.
• Investigate defects and process deviations, and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.
• Keep quality records, test data, and reports complete and up to date.
• Follow applicable standard operating procedures, hygiene practices, and workplace safety requirements.
• Work with Production and relevant teams to address quality concerns and limit product loss.
• Assist with internal audits and practical improvements to quality processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
• Two to four years of experience in quality control; experience in tissue or toilet paper manufacturing is preferred.
• Working knowledge of sampling, product testing, QC documentation, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and sound analytical skills.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and communicating quality findings to production colleagues.
