Role Overview
As the in-house Graphic Designer for our radio station, you will be the creative engine behind every visual element our audience and clients see. Your day-to-day work involves translating programme themes and client briefs into eye-catching posters, social media assets, and branding materials, while also adding motion to digital content. Your efforts directly support our on-air promotions and client partnerships, ensuring the station maintains a polished, unified visual identity across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design promotional collateral for radio programmes, including show artwork, event posters, and on-air campaign visuals.
- Create client-facing marketing materials such as banners, flyers, and branded assets that meet campaign goals.
- Produce social media graphics optimised for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to boost audience engagement.
- Develop basic motion graphics and short video content for digital and broadcast use, enhancing programme storytelling.
- Maintain brand consistency across all print and digital touchpoints, adhering to station style guidelines.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising deadlines without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with programme producers and sales teams to interpret creative briefs and deliver visuals that resonate with target audiences.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro (or equivalent design and video editing software).
- A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating creativity across print, digital, and branding projects.
- Solid understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced media environment.
- Photography and videography skills are a plus, enabling you to capture and edit original content for campaigns.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
