Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Press Shop Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, including press shop, laser cutting, and press brake activities. The ideal candidate will ensure production targets are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily production targets for press shop, laser cutting, and press brake operations are achieved as per schedule
- Monitor and improve machine utilization (laser machines, press machines, press brake) to minimize downtime
- Maintain product quality by ensuring all components meet required drawings and specifications
- Reduce rejection rates through proper monitoring and process control
- Coordinate with the tool room for timely availability, maintenance, and improvement of tools, dies, and fixtures
- Allocate work effectively to operators and ensure discipline and productivity on the shop floor
- Support skill development and training of operators
- Ensure routine machine maintenance and promptly report breakdowns
- Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage and scrap generation
- Enforce safety standards and promote safe working practices across all operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost savings
- Maintain accurate daily production reports
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Press Shop Supervisor or in a similar manufacturing role
- Strong knowledge of press shop operations, laser cutting, and press brake machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of safety standards and industrial best practices
- Diploma or relevant technical qualification preferred
