Role Overview
As Branch Manager in Nakuru, you own the commercial results of the branch — translating annual and monthly revenue goals into daily activity on the sales floor. Much of your week is spent in the thick of it: reviewing performance numbers, coaching the sales team, keeping stock moving, and making sure customers leave satisfied. The branch's growth, its reputation in the local market, and the retention of its sales team all depend on the person in this seat.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate monthly and annual sales targets into clear weekly and daily goals for each member of the branch sales team.
- Design and execute local strategies that grow revenue, bring in new customers, and increase repeat business across Nakuru.
- Track sales performance as it happens, analyse the trends behind the numbers, and deliver regular reports and insight to management.
- Coach, train and mentor sales representatives through floor coaching, product knowledge sessions and honest performance feedback.
- Build and strengthen customer relationships, step in on escalated complaints, and hold the branch to a consistently high service standard.
- Keep an eye on stock availability and work closely with the teams responsible for supply so in-demand lines are never sitting empty on the shelf.
- Scan the market for untapped opportunities and stay current on what competitors are pricing, promoting and launching.
- Uphold company policies, sales procedures and operational standards throughout the branch, and partner with senior management on wider company objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
- At least three years of proven sales experience, ideally in retail — home appliances, electronics or a comparable fast-moving environment.
- Prior responsibility for managing or supervising a sales team, with the ability to motivate people as well as direct them.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and customer service abilities.
- A demonstrable record of setting sales targets and actually delivering against them.
- Solid analytical and reporting skills — comfortable working with sales data and drawing conclusions from it.
- Capable of working autonomously while staying closely aligned with the wider team.
- Currently based in Nakuru.
We are looking for someone ambitious and hands-on, who is as energised by developing people as by hitting a number. If you can convert targets into results while keeping your team motivated and your customers well looked after, this role is built for you.
