Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in a busy environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, a solid understanding of plumbing codes, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to urgent plumbing issues promptly to minimise downtime and disruption.
- Conduct leak detection, pressure testing, and compliance checks on plumbing systems.
- Diagnose faults, replace defective components, and perform routine servicing of fixtures and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Fit and connect pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and sanitation systems according to specifications.
- Read and apply technical drawings and blueprints to guide installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate work logs, service reports, and cost estimates for completed tasks.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- At least two (2) years of working experience in a busy environment.
- KCSE mean grade D+ or its equivalent.
- Must have a Basic Certificate or Government Trade Test III in Plumbing.
- Must have knowledge of plumbing codes, materials (PVC, copper, steel), and tools.
