Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, faults, or potential failures and take corrective action.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in plant equipment including generators, compressors, forklifts, pumps, engines, gearboxes, and motors.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Replace worn or defective parts and ensure equipment is restored to proper working condition.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve mechanical issues and minimize downtime.
- Install, align, and commission new machinery and mechanical components.
- Support plant upgrades, modifications, and equipment relocation activities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety procedures and regulatory standards.
- Maintain proper use of PPE and uphold a safe working environment at all times.
- Report recurring faults and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Plant Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in plant maintenance or an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Good understanding of industrial safety standards and maintenance best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
