Position: Lecturer (Full-Time and Part-Time)
Position Overview
The university invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction, developing digital content, and supporting students in both face-to-face and online learning environments. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to academic excellence and student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the relevant field.
- Develop and manage digital learning materials to enhance online education.
- Provide academic support to students, including online tutoring and mentoring.
- Engage in research and scholarly activities as required.
- Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development.
Qualifications and Competencies
For appointment, one MUST have:
- An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited university; OR a Master's degree in the relevant field from an accredited university (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level and be registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
- Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (for all posts) and the ability to support students online (for part-time lecturers).
- Membership in relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
