Role Overview
This university teaching position involves delivering structured instruction in your area of specialization while following approved syllabi and curricula. Day-to-day work includes preparing lectures, coordinating practical projects, and assessing student learning through examinations, assignments, and other evaluation methods. Your contribution is central to maintaining academic standards, supporting student achievement, and strengthening the university's reputation across the schools it operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials in your area of specialization, ensuring content reflects the approved syllabus and intended learning outcomes.
- Coordinate course projects, practical assignments, and related student work, providing supervision and guidance throughout each activity.
- Prepare, update, and improve teaching and learning materials, including course outlines, lecture notes, slides, case studies, and supplemental resources.
- Set and invigilate examinations, mark assignments and scripts, and record results accurately and promptly.
- Design fair and rigorous assessment instruments that measure student knowledge and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Support students through academic advising, consultation hours, and guidance on coursework or research-related challenges.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum review discussions, and academic committees to help maintain quality and consistency.
- Engage in scholarly activities, research, or relevant industry work to deepen expertise and enhance the quality of teaching.
Requirements & Qualifications
- An earned PhD or a Master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
- Relevant teaching experience at university level, or equivalent research or industry experience that supports effective teaching and supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare teaching materials and assess student performance through varied evaluation methods.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
- Working knowledge of university grading practices, academic integrity policies, and general record-keeping expectations.
