Job Summary
We are looking for a results-driven Auto Parts Sales Representative to lead parts sales through our retail and workshop counters. The ideal candidate will combine deep automotive knowledge with strong sales skills to deliver exceptional customer service, maximize revenue, and maintain efficient counter operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive parts sales through retail and workshop counters, meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Assist walk-in and workshop customers in identifying correct parts, providing accurate pricing, and processing orders.
- Upsell, cross-sell, and close deals effectively by recommending complementary products and promoting ongoing offers.
- Maintain organized counter displays and inventory, ensuring parts are readily available and properly stocked.
- Process sales transactions using ERP and EPC systems, generating invoices and managing returns or exchanges.
- Resolve customer complaints and conflicts promptly, applying strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Collaborate with workshop technicians to understand part requirements and support service workflows.
- Keep abreast of new automotive products, applications, and compatibility to provide expert advice.
Qualifications
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Automotive, or any other related course from a reputable institution.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in the Auto Parts business.
Skills & Competencies
- Automotive Expertise: Strong knowledge of automotive parts, applications, and compatibility.
- ERP & Digital Tools: Proficiency in ERP systems and Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPC).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Negotiation & Persuasion: Ability to upsell, cross-sell, and close deals effectively.
- Problem‑Solving: Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Personal Attributes: Self‑driven, adaptable, and a person of integrity.
Additional Requirements
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed. Valid driver’s license is a plus.
