Role Overview
You will take charge of a mobile wheel alignment operation, coordinating six fully equipped service units and a team of twelve field technicians. Your daily focus will be on keeping every unit fully deployed, hitting productivity targets, and converting customer touchpoints into repeat sales. This role directly impacts the company's service revenue and its reputation with fleet and tyre customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assign daily work plans for all six mobile alignment units, balancing geographic coverage, customer appointments, and urgent service requests.
- Monitor staff attendance, real-time deployment, and individual output to ensure each technician completes an average of fifteen alignments per day.
- Oversee the operational readiness of mobile units, including equipment condition, consumables, and any on-site coordination needed to avoid downtime.
- Compile daily performance and activity reports, verifying accuracy and ensuring entries are correctly logged in the Budini reporting system.
- Proactively sell wheel alignment services to tyre dealers, fleet operators, and new commercial prospects, using technical knowledge to convert enquiries into confirmed jobs.
- Identify untapped business opportunities and build long-term relationships with key accounts, offering tailored service packages that meet their vehicle maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to track revenue targets, review the sales pipeline, and align field activities with broader commercial objectives.
- Present clear, professional service proposals to fleet managers, transport supervisors, and procurement teams, addressing their operational and cost concerns.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, sales, automotive engineering, or another directly relevant field.
- At least three years of hands-on experience managing field teams or coordinating operations in a service or logistics environment.
- A proven history of achieving sales, building customer engagement, and closing service deals, particularly within the automotive or tyre sector.
- Strong organisational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple teams and locations.
- Comfortable using mobile applications and basic digital tools for daily reporting, team communication, and workflow tracking.
- Demonstrated commercial instincts, including team leadership, business development, problem-solving, and clear written and verbal reporting.
- Sound technical understanding of wheel alignment geometry, suspension system behaviour, and tyre wear patterns to support customers and technicians.
- Experience managing customer relationships at multiple levels, resolving complex service issues with a practical and customer-focused approach.
- Valid class B driving licence, with the flexibility to travel regularly across the operating area.
