Job Title: Warehouse Operator (Meraki Clients)
About the Role
Maximise the performance of Meraki clients by safely operating material handling equipment (MHE) and carrying out warehouse tasks as assigned. Work within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the warehouse and customers, making DHL a great place to work and an efficient operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement actions aimed at reducing or eliminating health and safety risks
- Conduct forklift inspections
- Receive raw materials from suppliers and issue them to production centres
- Receive finished goods from production
- Assemble customer orders, perform load verification, and load products onto trucks
- Put away products into the warehouse
- Adhere to customer requirements in line with DHL policy
- Participate in customer, regulatory, and internal operational audits, and work with the team to implement agreed action plans
- Respond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions where possible
- Support management in implementing continuous improvement activities
- Support site plans within your own area of operation
- Support the environmental agenda and continuous improvement activities to increase environmental efficiency
About You
- Certificate in Forklift / MHE Operations
- 5 years of experience operating MHE
- Flexibility to work shift patterns and odd days
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- English and Kiswahili – both spoken and written
