Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, safety-conscious Mechanical Technician to optimize our production lines and factory infrastructure. Your primary objective is to maximize machine uptime and efficiency by executing rigorous preventive maintenance plans and swift breakdown interventions. This position bridges complex troubleshooting with technical upkeep; you will guide factory machinery from daily calibration and lubrication tracks through to heavy component replacements. The role calls for an engineering professional who thrives under production floor pressure, understands industrial automation structures, and can systematically eliminate machine failure bottlenecks.

Areas of Accountability

Preventive Upkeep & Line Commissioning

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance routines on all processing machines, conveyor lines, and auxiliary plant equipment.

• Support engineering leadership during the technical assembly, alignment, and commissioning of newly acquired production machinery.

• Guarantee that all active floor equipment operates within exact safety tolerances, industrial guidelines, and efficiency targets.

Diagnostics & Rapid Breakdown Repairs

• Isolate, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults and structural anomalies across complex manufacturing setups.

• Respond with extreme urgency to unexpected machine breakdowns to minimize overall production downtime and lost output.

• Dismantle, repair, or replace defective mechanical parts, hydraulic hoses, pneumatic cylinders, and motor bearings.

• Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring equipment failures to design out repetitive mechanical vulnerabilities.

Calibration & Performance Monitoring

• Monitor real-time machine operations, recording vibrational changes, abnormal noises, or temperature spikes.

• Administer precise industrial lubrication, shaft alignments, belt tensions, and mechanical instrument calibrations.

• Pitch technical modification ideas to management to enhance overall line reliability, material throughput, and safety boundaries.

Logging, Analytics & Workshop Safety

• Maintain highly accurate maintenance logs, component tracking sheets, and digital equipment service records.

• Draft downtime summaries, detailing parts utilized, labor hours expended, and structural fixes applied during shifts.

• Adhere strictly to occupational safety standards, lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, and industrial environment protocols.

• Maintain complete order, cleanliness, and tool accountability within the engineering workshop and active production floors.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

• Academic Foundation: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, or a matching technical discipline.

• Field Track Record: Minimum of 2 years of progressive, hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy machinery within a busy manufacturing or industrial setup.

• Technical Interpretation: Strong, proven ability to read, interpret, and trace complex mechanical schematics, technical manuals, and blueprinted route designs.
