Mechanical Technician – Truck & Trailer Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our workshop team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing repair requirements, performing mechanical work, and ensuring the reliability of our fleet of trucks, trailers, and other machines. You will work closely with the workshop manager to plan repairs and maintenance, uphold safety standards, and occasionally provide on-road rescue support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess requirements and propose, in consultation with the workshop manager, the specifications for parts and materials needed, as well as the duration of repairs and maintenance.
• Carry out assigned mechanical works on trucks, trailers, and other machines.
• Undertake preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks, trailers, and other machines.
• Account for materials and parts used during repairs and maintenance.
• Carry out general cleanliness of the mechanical section and its environs.
• Observe security and safety measures for all tools, parts, materials, and equipment under your care.
• Rescue trucks on transit on a need basis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in truck and trailer maintenance.
