Job Title: Lifeguard (School Environment)

Our aquatic facilities play a key role in physical education and recreation, and we are seeking a qualified Lifeguard to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of safety, vigilance, and emergency preparedness at all times.

Job Summary

As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for supervising swimming activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding swiftly to aquatic emergencies. Your primary focus will be preventing accidents and injuries while promoting a positive and secure experience for all pool users in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas and enforce all safety regulations and pool rules.
• Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
• Conduct routine safety checks of pool equipment, water quality, and surroundings.
• Maintain clear communication with school staff, students, and visitors regarding safety procedures.
• Assist with swim lessons, school events, and recreational activities as required.
• Report hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Uphold child safeguarding principles and contribute to a culture of vigilance and protection.

Qualifications

• Valid Pool / Lifeguard Certification
• Valid First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of Child Safeguarding principles and practices
• 2–3 years of proven experience as a lifeguard
• Strong swimming, rescue, and emergency response skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations
• Experience working in a school environment will be an added advantage.
