Job Description

Role Overview

This role sits at the centre of KDC's sustainability function, turning the corporation's Sustainability and Green Financing Strategies into measurable day-to-day progress. You will provide hands-on support for reporting cycles, climate and ESG data management, and environmental and social safeguards across both internal operations and the investment portfolio. The work directly strengthens KDC's ability to disclose credibly, manage climate risk and build a green finance pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery and tracking of activities under KDC's Sustainability and Green Financing Strategies and the accompanying implementation matrix, keeping milestones, owners and timelines on course.
  • Compile sustainability performance reports, dashboards, advisories and management or Board presentations, including verification of data and maintenance of evidence packs for audits and assurance.
  • Prepare disclosure inputs aligned with GRI Standards and IFRS S1/S2, support the corporation's adoption of those frameworks, and research emerging ESG, climate finance, green finance and regulatory developments relevant to KDC.
  • Support climate-risk assessment, adaptation planning and portfolio resilience analysis, and help track operational and financed emissions, portfolio carbon footprints and climate-transition metrics.
  • Contribute to the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and to environmental and social due diligence, including screening proposed investments, reviewing ESDD and ESIA reports, and monitoring implementation of the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP).
  • Collect and analyse ESG, climate and environmental/social data from KDC and its portfolio, produce periodic ESG monitoring reports, and monitor green portfolio classification, sustainable finance indicators and climate-related investment opportunities.
  • Support environmental and social compliance monitoring of investee companies — including ESAPs, ESIA commitments and other sustainability requirements — and track KDC's Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, energy, water, waste and other operational indicators.
  • Assist stakeholder engagement, workshops, sustainability awareness activities and meetings with development partners, and support sustainability champions and staff sensitisation on waste management, energy efficiency, paper reduction and sustainability communication.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Finance, Economics, Business, Natural Resource Management or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG, environmental management, climate finance, development finance or a comparable area.
  • Knowledge of ESG, green finance and sustainability reporting practices.
  • Familiarity with GRI, IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, climate risk, ESG due diligence and sustainable finance taxonomies is an advantage.
  • Strong data collection and analytics, research, report-writing, reporting and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
