Our client, a leading player in the hospitality industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Food & Beverage Cost Controller to join their finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate cost management, inventory control, and profitability analysis across F&B operations.
Role Overview
As a Junior Food & Beverage Cost Controller, you will support the F&B cost control function by monitoring inventory levels, analyzing cost variances, and collaborating with kitchen and purchasing teams to maintain optimal stock levels. You will play a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring data accuracy across all reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly food and beverage cost calculations and variance analysis
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies
- Utilize Opera PMS, Material Control (MC), Micros POS, and SUN Systems for cost tracking and reporting
- Prepare cost reports and provide actionable insights to the F&B and finance teams
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for F&B operations
- Ensure compliance with company cost control policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management
- Experience: 1–2 years in F&B cost control or inventory management within hospitality
- Systems: Hands‑on experience with Opera PMS, Material Control (MC), Micros POS, and SUN Systems
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of food costing, stock control, and variance analysis
- Skills: Strong Excel proficiency and analytical abilities
