Role Overview
This role keeps the physical backbone of a busy experiential hospitality and events production operation running smoothly, from everyday office upkeep to the temporary infrastructure that appears during client activations and large-scale productions. The Facilities Manager works closely with senior leaders, external trades, and internal teams to ensure venues, support spaces, and event sites remain safe, functional, and cost-conscious. Success means fewer operational disruptions, reliable utility and maintenance controls, and event teams that can focus on delivering client experiences rather than firefighting site issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily upkeep, repairs, and inspections across offices, meeting rooms, production support areas, and storage; keep the workplace safe and operational.
- Create and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and backup generators, with logs, asset registers, warranties, and repair histories kept current.
- Manage soft services including cleaning contractors, waste removal, pest control, and hygiene standards throughout the premises.
- Get facilities event-ready for client meetings, equipment moves, and major productions by coordinating access, temporary power, sanitation, and site infrastructure.
- Enforce HSE protocols, conduct risk assessments, oversee fire system inspections and evacuation readiness, and respond to workplace incidents.
- Supervise security providers, control visitor access, and act on security or emergency events.
- Source, evaluate, and oversee maintenance vendors and service contractors; verify completed work before payment and track contractor performance.
