Location: Remote | Employment Type: Part-time
About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support our accounting and bookkeeping functions on a part-time, remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience while working flexibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Help with preparation of financial reports as needed
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a bonus
