Role Overview
This position focuses on growing revenue by identifying and winning new accounts while strengthening existing client relationships within the logistics and supply chain sector. Day to day, you will combine proactive outreach with responsive lead management, turning initial conversations into qualified opportunities and eventually into contracted clients. You will also serve as the operational bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring every handoff supports smooth service delivery and long-term retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business by executing structured outbound campaigns across cold calls, targeted emails, and CRM-driven lead lists, while also converting inbound enquiries into viable sales opportunities.
- Prospect and qualify leads through discovery conversations, assessing fit, urgency, and potential value before adding them to the sales pipeline.
- Engage clients to map their specific supply chain challenges, then position relevant logistics and contract warehousing solutions that align with their operational needs.
- Develop and deliver commercial proposals that articulate service scope, value proposition, and pricing, coordinating internal approval where necessary.
- Manage the full sales cycle from quotation through contract execution, including KYC due diligence and seamless customer onboarding.
- Maintain ongoing account relationships to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery and to uncover opportunities for cross-selling or expanding the service portfolio.
- Keep the CRM system current with accurate activity logs, opportunity stages, and follow-up tasks, and produce regular sales performance reports for management review.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, customer service, and finance teams to resolve issues, align on commitments, and meet commercial targets.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of inside sales, business development, or account management experience specifically within the logistics and supply chain industry.
- Proven track record in freight forwarding and contract logistics, with a working knowledge of how these operations translate into client value.
- Solid grasp of commercial sales processes, customer relationship management principles, and logistics service offerings.
- Hands-on proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Self-starter attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and focused on measurable results.
