Import Coordinator

About Us: We are a dynamic, fast-growing logistics and supply chain company committed to excellence in global trade. Our team thrives on precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We are looking for an experienced Import Coordinator to manage end-to-end import operations and drive efficiency across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the import process from purchase order to final delivery. Prepare and process import documentation accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with international suppliers to track orders and shipment schedules.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor shipment progress and resolve delays or logistical issues.
  • Source suppliers and obtain quotations for goods and services.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms with suppliers. Raise purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in import coordination, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs regulations, import documentation (bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin), and Incoterms.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Tools: Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (especially Excel), and standard logistics software.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
