Import Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Import Coordinator to manage end-to-end import operations and drive efficiency across our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the import process from purchase order to final delivery. Prepare and process import documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with international suppliers to track orders and shipment schedules.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve delays or logistical issues.
- Source suppliers and obtain quotations for goods and services.
- Negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms with suppliers. Raise purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in import coordination, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs regulations, import documentation (bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin), and Incoterms.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Tools: Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (especially Excel), and standard logistics software.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
