Job Summary
We are seeking a Hotel Receptionist to manage front‑desk operations, greet guests, and provide excellent customer service at our hotel in Ngong Town. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and able to handle check‑in/check‑out, reservations, and guest inquiries in a busy, professional environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Front Desk Operations

Welcome guests warmly and handle check‑in and check‑out procedures efficiently.

Manage reservations, bookings, and cancellations accurately.

Assign rooms and issue room keys following hotel procedures.

Maintain an organized and presentable reception area at all times.
Guest Services

Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.

Provide information on hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.

Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs promptly.
Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate guest records and reservation details.

Handle phone calls, emails, and walk‑in inquiries.

Prepare daily reports on occupancy, arrivals, and departures.
Cash Handling & Billing

Process guest payments (cash, mobile money, or card where applicable).

Issue invoices and receipts accurately.

Keep proper records of transactions and balances.
Coordination & Communication

Liaise with housekeeping, security, and management to ensure smooth operations.

Communicate special guest requests or issues to the right departments.
Compliance & Professionalism

Follow hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.

Maintain confidentiality of guest information.

Uphold a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Key Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a hotel receptionist or front‑desk staff in the hospitality industry.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good organizational and multitasking abilities.

Basic computer skills (MS Office; hotel booking systems is an added advantage).

Customer‑service oriented with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
