Job Summary
Perform maintenance and operations activities within the assigned area, ensuring the quality and continuity of services as per the set KPIs, within budgeted costs. Execute and follow up on network extensions. Detect and provide early warnings of network element dysfunctions.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to equipment faults logged in the trouble ticket (TT) system in compliance with corrective maintenance KPIs.
- Perform preventive routine maintenance to ensure consistent equipment and environment health checks.
- Work in coordination with Support and NMC teams while analyzing fault incidents, ensuring accurate and timely correction, and confirming and communicating clears as necessary.
- Propose improvement actions for the network structure.
- Accurately carry out the preventive maintenance program and report on the same.
- Jointly perform new site commissioning tests with equipment vendors, only accepting links/sites that meet the criteria set in engineering standards and equipment factory specifications.
- Compile and submit reports on all maintenance-related matters and attend daily evaluation meetings.
- Establish and document the root cause of link failures (RCA) and produce evidence as needed.

Qualifications – Academic and Professional
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication
- Lean Six Sigma – Yellow Belt
- CCNA Certification
- Valid Driving License
Experience
2 years of experience in transmission network maintenance.

- Optical fibre network damages due to road construction or vandalism.
- Maintenance materials, spares, and tools availability.
- Ensuring preventive maintenance is carried out and utilizing recovered materials within the network.

- Deciding on acceptance of new sites/links based on commissioning tests.
- Prioritizing and scheduling maintenance activities within the assigned area.

Micro-level planning (daily/weekly) and macro-level planning (monthly) as required by operational needs.
