As a Graduate Engineer, you will support project coordination from design through installation and commissioning, while gaining hands-on experience in quality planning, supplier management, risk identification, and continuous improvement. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Mechatronic Engineering or a closely related field
- Membership of an industry-related professional body is advantageous
- Strong computer literacy, especially advanced Excel skills and data analysis
- Demonstrates initiative and sound problem-solving ability within assigned tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- A collaborative team player who is enthusiastic and keen to learn
- Willingness to work at company and customer premises as required
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, product sourcing, installation, and commissioning support for client projects
- Respond promptly and effectively to changing client and product needs
- Support the identification of potential project risks and establish corrective actions
- Deliver project outputs on time and in line with customer requirements, clarifying specifications where necessary
- Assist in understanding customer needs and defining customer specifications
- Support costing of specification changes and analyze customer/internal changes, including feasibility studies
- Prepare clear, focused, and understandable explanations for change requests and track customer changes
- Attend and participate in customer meetings as required
- Raise timely and accurate purchase requisitions on the company's ERP system
- Help manage suppliers to ensure parts are delivered on time and to the required quality standards
- Track tasks against the project timing plan and assist with design verification and sign-off reporting
- Keep up to date with current and emerging manufacturing and engineering trends
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process improvement activities across the team
- Conduct benchmarking studies to identify best practices, designs, and future trends
- Plan projects and subtasks so they can be effectively tracked and presented
- Write concise reports and provide information to management
- Work to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and project goals within budget
- Attend meetings and action or communicate instructions as necessary
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution
- Undertake continuous training and development
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times
