Job Description

Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing all stock movement within a technically driven environment, ensuring that materials and equipment are available exactly when project teams need them. Day to day, you will receive, inspect, store, and issue inventory, keep system records accurate, and reconcile physical counts against digital data. Your attention to detail directly protects the company from stock losses, project delays, and audit findings, making you a critical link between procurement, finance, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full stock lifecycle from goods receipt and quality inspection through warehousing, internal transfers, and final issuance, covering both routine and project-specific materials.
  • Maintain live inventory records in the company’s ERP or inventory system, ensuring every transaction is posted promptly and without errors.
  • Prepare and control all movement paperwork, including delivery notes, goods received notes, material issue vouchers, and transfer documentation, keeping a clean and complete filing trail.
  • Run continuous stock checks and full reconciliation cycles, investigating every variance to identify root causes and recommending practical corrections to reduce future shrinkage.
  • Coordinate directly with project managers and technical teams to allocate materials for installations, monitor usage rates, and flag any shortages or overages before they become critical.
  • Support procurement by feeding accurate consumption data and inventory lead-time insights into planning, helping avoid stockouts and costly last-minute orders.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports that highlight slow-moving stock, ageing items, valuation changes, and consumption trends, turning raw numbers into actionable improvements.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, participating in cycle counts, and suggesting stronger control procedures for warehouse operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or another directly related discipline.
  • At least two years of hands-on experience in inventory control, stores management, warehouse operations, or stock management, ideally within security systems, ICT, electronics, engineering, telecom, manufacturing, or construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical inventory and project-linked materials, not just standard warehouse consumables.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control fundamentals, stock reconciliation methods, and reporting standards.
  • Practical experience with an ERP or dedicated inventory tool such as Zoho Inventory, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or comparable platforms.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with confidence in handling large datasets and producing clear summaries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, combined with excellent record-keeping habits and a meticulous eye for detail.

Preferred qualifications include CPA Part II or above, CPSP-K certification, a professional credential in inventory or warehouse management, or direct familiarity with security systems and ICT equipment such as CCTV, access control, time and attendance solutions, fire detection systems, structured cabling, networking gear, and fibre optic infrastructure.
