Role Overview
This teaching position places an experienced educator at the heart of an A-Level programme built on the Cambridge International Education framework. Day to day, you will plan and deliver lessons that meet Cambridge syllabus requirements, design assessments that measure genuine understanding, and provide targeted feedback to help students refine their knowledge before examinations. Your work directly shapes student outcomes and upholds the academic rigour expected of a Cambridge-aligned institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver A-Level lessons that align with Cambridge International Education syllabi and curricular objectives.
- Create schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning resources that reflect Cambridge pedagogy and support varied learning styles.
- Design formative and summative assessments using Cambridge-style questions and mark schemes to prepare students for board examinations.
- Track and evaluate student progress through regular marking, data analysis, and written or verbal feedback.
- Adjust teaching strategies based on assessment outcomes and individual learner needs, ensuring every student can progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavioural observations.
- Collaborate with fellow subject teachers to standardise assessment practices and share best practices within the Cambridge framework.
- Communicate student progress effectively to parents, guardians, and senior leadership at scheduled intervals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and a clean professional standing.
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or a postgraduate certificate in education, with a subject specialism relevant to A-Level teaching.
- Demonstrated experience teaching A-Level subjects, with a measurable track record of student success.
- Strong working knowledge of the Cambridge International Education curriculum, including its assessment objectives and grading standards.
- Proven ability to plan, implement, and assess learning through the Cambridge framework, including the use of past papers and examiner reports.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a focused, inclusive learning environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to provide clear, actionable feedback to students and stakeholders.
